For calling yourself enlightened you are not proving to be so.

You assume I have no knowledge just because I hold a different opinion to you. This is exactly what I mean when I say it has become a moral and not scientific debate.

Any scientist stating the un provable as fact is a shame to the whole disipline.

I expect to get neg votes for comments like this. That doesn't change my mind, nor anyone else who thinks like me.

I suggest you think a bit more outside the box.

You underestimate the degree of certainty that exists in the scientific community about humanity's effect on climate change - that's the reason that I recommended literature to you. Do we understand climate 100%? No, but we know enough to know that the gases that we are putting in the atmosphere are harmful. Very harmful, indeed.

What do you consider "unprovable" in regards to climate change?
JaguarEarlobe (August 26, 2008 at 9:42 am)
You over estimate the certainty. Those who dissagree will not openly say so in fear of being linched. Even a sit on the fence vieww like mine is attacked imediatly.
JaguarEarlobe (August 26, 2008 at 9:43 am)
Climate science is unbelievably complex and we struggle to understand a very large ammount of it

Yes of course it cant be good to polute like we do, so I actually agree with a lot of the measures being taken... just not the ceratinty that we can effect... and now control changes in climate. To me - that is a completely sane minded position to take. Certainty in a theory is a weakness. It reduces scientific objectivity.
