The most versatile singer in the world! Listen to her performance of "What about the children" at Oprah's tribute - she sang it so delicately and subly, and here she's screaming like only yolanda can! :)

So would you be mad if you were at a tribute to yourself and someone SANG a song better than you did? Wow cuz Yolanda can't be TOUCHED in this song. I LOVE Aretha but MAN you can't compare thses two ladies.

So your'e telling me Yolanda Adams is beyond comparison to ARETHA FRANKLIN??!! Now you know that is silly right?!
I really wish someone would release the video footage of the Amazing Grace albums, because many people really don't understand what Aretha did those few nights, because if they did they would know why it is SHE who cannot be touched!
Just because you don't like her demeanor does not take away the fact that she is arguably the greatest singer of the 20th century.

I prefer Yolanda vocally, but she only does church music. Aretha's songs are better, but sometimes her voice is TOO strong for me. However lol, to say you can't even compare them is pretty inaccurate, even as a matter of personal preference lol. Aretha's not my absolute favorite, but she's one of those artists that if they were voted the BEST for something, I wouldn't disagree.

That was not possible when it comes to this particular song and Aretha Franklin. I suggest you go listen to Aretha's live rendering from her "Amazing Grace" album. There is a clip of her singing this song. Give listen and then tell me what you think.
