Laxman on his day is one of the finest batsman around, his offside play is second to none, steve waugh put it simply after this knock that we just didnt know where to bowl to him, the only prolbem is that he is not consistent and consitenly gets out in the 30s 40s and 50s, shane warne said it himself he is one of the most talented batsman he has ever seen but he has never realised his full potential

well i remember vvs was plumb lbw to riki ponting in this match after scoring 50 odd but in those days we had one home umpire & a neutral

India's greatest ever test victory and the greatest ever comeback in test match cricket. Definitely better than Headingley 81' because this was against Steve Waugh's Australia at their very peak, 16 wins on the trot and they thumped us in the first test. Probably the best test innings ever by an Indian, Bradman's 270 at Melbourne is porbably the best all time. Lara's 158 at Barbados was pretty awesome too.

Don't forget Kumar Sangakkara's 192 Vs Australia at Bellerive Oval. Bradman's 270 was in his backyard, so not the greatest. Nor was Lara's 400 at his home ground.

Ey, lets get this straight, im not saying laxman is crap by any means. I'm not sure where you read that. No one could be stupid as to make a such a comment. Where did i say I wasn't proud of my origin? So does playing for Victoria make me a "rednecked"?

laxman might not contain that star material but what he really has is what he is born to...cricket.His innings is like a poem & bats with style.
