Swift Engineering is developing the Killer Bee blended wing-body unmanned air vehicle and produced this video animation of the cool-looking UAV on an armed anti-IED mission. Swift also designs and builds racing cars.

very cool, but is it affordable? anti-ied technologies need to do be more effective at detecting than this. ("one less" isn't good enough)

its a UAV and it is quite small, so I would assume it is. That and I think IED destroying is only one of the missions it could carry, I bet this thing I nice for CAS and Recon.

what about firing a magnetic wave into the area the return signals would be able to determine what types of chemicals are in the area.. once detection is made efforts can be made to jam or destroy them..

UAV's can scan the area for hours..
