Son, I have been in Intelligence for 17 years. A few things you learn a) you cant compare apples and oranges and b) you cant assume anything based on technology and age. The U.S. is learning this very lesson now in Iraq. It learnt this lesson in Vietnam, but as time passed its leaders forgot this lesson. It took Germany two World Wars and countless dead to learn that war is not won based on technology alone. You can have the most advanced weapons and still lose both the battle and the war.

You can still win a war even with a 20 year old MIG 29. The MIGs would be deployed in such a way as to counter any advantages the F22 Raptor may have. You see son, was is more like 15 dimensional Chess more than anything. Plus the MIG 29 comes equiped with the latest long range stealth standoff cruise missiles, so the MIG 29 does not have to get into a dog fight nor does it have to get anywhere in radar range to fire its missiles.

So you're talking about MiG 29SMT or MiG 35? I agree that you can't win with technology, and the examples you gave are correct. You must be more informed than I am so I won't argue lol :) i just said that if you take one fulcrum and one raptor, then the raptor is more advanced. In war conditions the balance can be changed, you said it very well.

lol by the time russia is ever able to match our current militaries power we will be using robots and remote control tanks and jet fighters. and if the russia and the U.S. ever went to war it will be fought on russian soil so you guys lose from the get go
