TOPS Tom Brown Tracker Knife
BackThis is just a video displaying my TOPS Tom Brown Tracker.
After hearing the story behind it's concept, and reading more about Tom Brown and who he was, I decided on buying the knife.
As you may or may not be able to see in the video, the knife is a little scuffed up. This is just wear, seeing as I have put the knife to some hard use.
I have chopped quite a bit with it, and the biggest problem with this knife is the "Chopping" edge, the curved edge of the knife, is way too thick. It just doesn't really bite into the wood I'm chopping very well. It just takes a lot more effort than necessary to cut through anything substantial.
Oh well, even though it's not the best chopper, I still love it :)

Why not do a hand drill fire and heat up an old leaf-spring to forge your own knife like Benicio Del Toro?

Best knife ever made for woodsman. $300 a steal. Get a job if you want one!

Unfortunately I have to agree with you on these points. I think the design concept is there, just poorly executed. If they had ground both edges several degrees thinner, I believe the knife would have made a decent chopper. It would still most likely be a little uncomfortably heavy, but at least it would then be less of a chore trying to chop anything.

You can find this knife for less than $259.00 if you look around and that sheath is included in the price. I have absolutely no clue what "pimporosz" is talking about.

I'm sure it's a great knife. Now compare that to K Bar USMC knife that will also last you a lifetime for around 50-70$. Depends on your budget I guess.

I completely agree, there are much better knives for the money. As is, this knife is "ok", but when I bought it I truly was caught up in some of the hype surrounding it and honestly, I regret spending so much on it now when I could have got several nicer knives instead. It isn't completely useless though, I mean it is a knife, but there are just better ones for the money.
