I don't know any of those people. Did they play at Sunbury?

You're kidding... Sunbury would not have been Sunbury without Billy Thorpe, Lobby Loyd etc etc

I'm 19 and I think it's complete shit.
I was born in the wrong era.
I'd love to have been around for all these awesome gigs and bands.
The best i've got is Dave Tice and Mark Evans playing at the Sando every week! Great way to spend an afternoon.

That is very interesting. I think what has happened is that we were warned long ago, that pop/rock will itself and it seems that point has been reached. Must be very frustrating not to experience the excitement that went down for us. The Tube manages to bring a lot of it alive. This particular media has brought an interesting perspective to music now. A lot of kids including mine are just going for what went down in the past. Normal media would never play this sort of music! Cheers!

I agree with Nitrovo I'm 26 and I love old music I can't stand the modern shit that's being produced now, it has no soul, no heart and no meaning its all a filthy money making machine. It seems everyone who is in music these days is in it for fame and glory / money, not because they wanna rock and stick it to the man and change the world and above all make great fucking music.

I could go on all night, living in Ireland for the past year has made me miss Australia and old Aussie rock even more.

Yes, right now reminds of what it felt like just before punk hit the world. Mainstream commercial media was just bloody awful, then punk came like a breath of fresh air. But, now it is even worse. At least just before punk in Aussie we had 2 Double Jay and also stuff like Thorpe and Buffalo. The Saints were bubbling away, but it wasn't until 77 before we heard of the Saints.
