I drive a 4Runner and get the same gas mileage as the Tahoe. =/ Kinda sucks the big one. I'm looking forward to my brand new Mini Cooper, factory ordered. Then I'm off to sell my 3 current gas guzzlers: Chevy Astro (Bout 18 avg.), 4Runner (15 avg.), and Ford Taurus (16 avg.)

I don't own an SUV or a hybrid... but good try. I take the bus! (And no, I'm not poor either). We're already past the point of no return anyway. So arguing with selfish fucks like you is pointless.

Well here's a few problems with your complaints.
No one is insisting you go back to 14th century England. Granted with your degree in history I am sure you know that combustion engines were the norm in transportation back then. *sarcasm*
So.. instead of complaining that people want you to get a smaller or more fuel efficient vehicle, you are going to complain that people need to respect your right to trash the environment that we share. (And buy heavily overpriced vehicles)

I already said there should be technology and things in the works. Thats what I'm not against, but you know what if the envirowhackos want a totalitarian police state to tell everyone what to do then I hope your happy.

Nice try at slamming my history, but I already know about the 14th century, afterall the US declared independance in 1776 and the Revolutionary war was happening. The other thing I was trying to say was while people whine and moan about vehicles there should be progress being made in technology and to make vehicles more fuel-efficient or using other alternatives. Instead people want to ban vehicles, it doesent look to me like it matters if it has 0 pollution and runs on air for some people.
