Pugachev Cobra SU-37

The Pugachev Cobra is a fighter aircraft maneuver. It is a demonstration of the pitch control authority, high angle of attack (AOA) stability and engine/inlet compatibility at high angles of attack of the aircraft. The maneuver allows for very quick turns which can make an attack fail or put the pilot in a position to execute an attack. It is an example of air combat manoeuvering (ACM). Many Western experts on ACM believe this maneuver has absolutely no value in actual air combat; nonetheless, the Pugachev Cobra is known to be one of the most aesthetic, dramatic, demanding and beautiful maneuvers performed at air shows worldwide. The maneuver is so named after the Sukhoi OKB (design bureau) test pilot Viktor Pugachev, who first performed the maneuver.

true dat! plus the Su's arent as expensive as the F22 and there are more variants for specialized roles. is the thrust vectoring system on the Su-35 and 37 2d or 3d?

711 white isnt dead thay stoped flying it for now because it was a demonstrator and almost enterd production like the Su-35.

But more related to this video.. guess who did Thrust Vectoring on a fighter class aircraft first? The answer would be the United States along with good ol Germany on the (joint) X31 project.
