UN: Russia shot down Georgian spy plane

UN observers have concluded that a Russian fighter-jet shot down a Georgian spy drone over the breakaway republic of Abkhazia in April. Russia's Defence Ministry denies the allegations.

The Russians are claiming that the Georgians killed 2,000 civilians in Tskhinvali, but when European AND Russian Human Rights Watch got there and talked to the hospital director, he had received 44 bodies. Those 44 bodies were not even confirmed to be civilians, nor were they confirmed to be caused by Georgian troops.

Russian military started evacuating South Ossetian villages on Aug. 3. On August 5-6, Ossetians started shelling Georgian towns with 120MM artillery, which started the war.

Get serious...Russia had this planned months ago. They had every military formation and tank division waiting at the border for 5 months and thats a fact.

Protecting Ossetians? From what? All Human Rights Watch and UN already labeled Russian claims of genocide nothing but a LIE.

And since when did Russia give a shit about anyone else? Its civilians? On Georgian soil? Get the fuck outta here.

downed or not, that UAV wasnt supposed to be there. russians dont really care about what georgia, that eternal rape victim of russia, says. if an other drone will be detected over that area it will be downed too

And the degree to which the Lenin was a 'sole mentor' of Stalin is open to interpretation and robust historical debate. Personally, I don't give a fuck either way - Lenin was just as arrogant and reprobate as any of the other atheist Bolsheviks who believed that humans are nothing more than animals who need to be managed and controlled.

I agree with you that Russia is a coutnerweight to the U.S., but there is no reason Russia should be trying so desperately to terrorize its Georgian neighbor.

If they left Georgian soil and stopped trying to occupy it day in and day out, and left the Georgian people ALONE, there would be no problems whatsoever.

Georgia clearly showed that it does not need Russia at all whatsoever. After every sanction possible from Russia, Georgia's economy GREW threefold.
