The Internet Skeptic and ROAR on Global Warming

Back

Join the Internet Skeptic in NYC as he explains the well funded (a billion dollars for CO2 models that do NOT show CO2 as the cause of global warming) to hosts of WBAI's ROAR )Reach Out For Animal Rights). While kindness to animals is important to them and to us vegetarianism and emotion can cloud the issue that if not seen for what it is could lead to genocide

This is incredibly ridiculous. The "internet skeptic" is remarkably misinformed and the people he is debating are incredibly uninformed on the issue, not to mention terrible at debate. If the "internet skeptic" debated someone with a clue he would be absolutely trounced.

we tried to get such a panel together...if there is such a "consensus" why is it so hard to get scientists that will support the AGW theory to speak in public vs politicans and strong labels to bully people into essentially a religion... I'm with the Internet Skeptic

Hmmm, it might be difficult to get us to debate morons like this because we have better ways to spend our time. I spent all night in the lab yesterday. I've slept 12 hrs in the last 3 days. I certainly don't have time to debate every armchair expert out there. If I had the time, I'd be happy to do it though.

Watching the commentator try to follow the conversation is just comical. I would be interested in more proof of global warming on any front however, because evidence supplied on internetskeptic webpage is all verifyable. Why aren't we asking ourselves if our science is correct? Instead we get a knee-jerk reaction tant amount to a heretic in a church.

I'd suggest reading the latest IPCC reports. The difficulty in fully addressing this issue, like many issues in science for which there is a great deal of data, is communicating all of that data. The shear volume of data that needs to be presented makes it daunting. For a good summary of this data, start with IPCC reports.
vegassilenttype (December 22, 2007 at 5:26 am)
But the whole point is at the very least, if this theory holds any water, the IPCC is at the least misrepresenting data, and at the worst, creating panic and putting drastic measures into effect that we may not know the ramifications of. I have been following the journals published, and I just don't agree the samples are even the correct choice (ungulate migration?, honestly). Just bring up this guys points, and correct them. That's science!

Spreading the meat-eating culture to India and China?

Goddamn those Vegetarian chefs must have been something else making Peking duck from tofu!

factory farming is killing itself, pushing production to the limits of very unhealthy product. By supporting raw milk (for example) production has to become more balanced and human/animal friendly.

although I do not agree with their opinions on global warming they are both very nice people. Nancy is so concerned about the suffering of the animals that she sees little else. Noam is a grauduate of Yale and U of Penn (PhD in Physics) and also a very kind person. As we walked out of my apartment Noam, Bob and I had a very nice connection even though we take different stands. Recently Bob (the internet skeptic) has had his own learning curves when I introduced him to 9/11 Truth.
