Not that I disagree with much of what this guy is saying, but when you talk so disparagingly of these people in charge wanting to mutilate people, I have to ask: have you heard any of the rhetoric of islamofascists? They want to do the same stuff to non-Muslims!

Are you sane? We're talking about America who cares what nutjobs in the sand want to do...we should never fear that our governments here will torture us or kill us. Its like the friggin brown shirts

islamofascists are a complete myth and the US is so secure that no fucking force on earth can do anything about it. Muslim extremists are fringe. most people in the middle east just want to be left alone.

Racist pay structure pffft, I would gladly pay more for a former Navy Seal than I would to some ex army soldier from the third world. I also dont agree that they arent serving anyone but the US, so what if they hire out, they are fighting the US's war. It keeps the draft from happening and if they want to go to Iraq let them. Even though they are "bad guys" as Scahill says, wars need people like that. If Iraqis dont play by the rules... why should we?
PHubb (November 6, 2007 at 5:29 pm)
Soldiers from Chile, Columbia, etc. were all trained by the US military at the 'School of the Americas'. They are the equals of the US soldiers working for Blackwater.
The Iraqi's resistance to it is a legitimate response. The US invasion and occupation of Iraq is an act of aggression, illegal under US and International war.

also, think about the training that goes in to creating a blackwater soldier, most of them are exmilitary, meaning your tax dollars were used to train them, then those skills are put to use for blackwater.
