at the end of the day, who cares if it was fake or not? the point is the trick was pulled off, derren guessed right, so whether the ammo was real is irrelevent. personally, i wouldnt want anything blowing up next to my head. i dont see how being half deaf could be much of a constalation prize if it went wrong.

they were most likely using live rounds, they had to tell the police it was blanks, otherwise they would get in shit. but derren suggest that it was live ammo

Live TV isnt "LIVE" there is always some type of delay to it, a good 5-10 seconds is passed before you actually see what is happening. They would have had time to cut it if they were using live ammo, etc.
