Back

Quake has been developed by id Software in 1996. This first-person shooter introduced 3D models instead of 2D sprites and the use of lightmaps and 3D light sources. In this video you can see the shareware version.

When I used to work at a major silicon valley company, inside our labs, I used to play this game on my lunch breaks on the latest and greatest computers at that time.

My dad, brother and I used to play this when I was 6. I'm now 15 and quake and doom are two of the best games ever!

Is Quake played in Dos?
RacerXGTO (September 30, 2008 at 8:12 am)
Yep, DOS 6.22 for memory. You can load up Windows 95 and boot to DOS and play it that way too. Much easier.
