Well if you're going to wait three weeks before responding, please cite who or what you're responding to. I'm not sure what the archaeological evidence for Biblical cities has to do with genetic disorders.

The bible has basis in reality in the exact same way as The Odyssey does. We don't believe Achilles actually lived, do we?
Yet we have archeologic evidence that Troy existed AND that a great war was fought there.
It's historical fiction.
Just like the bible. Myths and fairy stories wrapped around the rulers of the day designed to keep the goatherders from molesting the livestock on Friday night.

Science cannot disprove all concepts of God, It can however disprove some, such as a God who's head was the world, this could be disproved easily. Also the God in the bible who describes the basis for his reality in many ways.
Archaeology finds the story in the bible to be false, so either god is a liar or a fake.
Either way he is falsified by evidence.
Biblical history is the revision, the ranting of con men who got converts with lies and threats.
marsCubed (November 18, 2008 at 4:59 pm)
The suggestion that biblical archaeology is fake is absurd. Professor Filkenstein and others, of Tel Aviv university, have summed up the result of many decades of work in 'The Bible Unearthed'. Despite having pressure applied to them to validate Israeli basis for land. Another history is discovered. that of Polytheistic Canaan. The bible is the revision and a fake. This is not a hypothesis, this is verifiable with material finds and complete absence of predicted finds which the bible makes.

And let me be clearer...the "evidence" for Jesus is only found in the bible.
The evidence for no-Jesus is found in the holy books of every other religion that does not recognize him as deity.
Add to that the billion or so people who don't believe in any of the "holy" books, except as historical remnants of a violent, superstitious past, and you're left with nothing but smoke.

Well, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Jehovah's Witnesses, and a whole host of other religions and nonreligions would disagree with your assertion that god became human and was resurrected.
The only evidence you have for that assertion is the same evidence all of those other religions have for their position that such a thing never happened.
If you don't see why that's a 'problem', then you're not being very rational.

Before going on with this post- must point out this IS actually a response to former responses to my previous comments here on this forum - not spam ok. It's a discussion from 3 weeks ago

Ok middlekk, God revealed himself historically most clearly by becoming human and then resurrecting from the dead - eye-witnessed and documented with independently, contemporaneously written texts

Plus interaction with lots of human-beings and nations which are also documented before his coming in human flesh
desertTRUTH (November 18, 2008 at 1:35 pm)
Yes check out a bible to find the truth

Biblical history's well-founded but your wild revisionist-history is hard to take seriously

If you're committed to contradicting history, you'd be better served to not throw common-sense completely out the window

You know...start with SOME truth and known history..at least

Furthermore archaeology, cosmology, physics, and biology CANNOT say the biblical God is fake - this would be to say the 4 sciences contain omniscient knowledge - which isn't possible

potholer54, I'm not sure what you mean about spamming?

I responded to this response to one of my previous comments:

Blackhawknz1 wrote 3 weeks ago, in response to my comments:

' You are blindly following a book of old fables and fairy tales that have no basis in reality. '

It's true he/she didn't write specifically the 'Bible' has no basis in reality -- but I'm pretty sure he/she was referring to the Bible as the 'book of old fables and fairy tales'.

It's a previous discussion on this forum

DesertTRUTH, please see my channel description for rules about spamming. No one has suggested, on the video or in this forum, that the Bible has no basis in reality. I can only assume that either you have posted this on the wrong forum or you are trolling atheist channels. I hope you will join in the discussion but please dont mindlessly spam.
