Polecat Blues

Back

Here's an instrumental fingerstyle blues song I put together with an influence of Mississippi John Hurt and Merle Watson fingerpicking technique. Played on a fender telecaster guitar in a normal standard tuning.

Stairway was on a 60's Telecaster, through a Supro amp, any small tube amp would do...personally I think it's more to do with the fingers though...

Stairway to Heaven was a Tele deluxe w/ humbucking pickups. I doubt you could get the same sound with standard single coil pickups.

that intro riff sounds like a reverend horton heat lick from "happy camper". I like it.
