New Ft. Sill unit launches five live Patriot missiles

It's faster, lighter, and more effective than ever. It's the Patriot missile and in a week long exercise, one of Ft. Sill's newest units fired five live missiles. The soldiers needed the training for certification, but they also needed to be up-to-speed with the latest advancements in combat weaponry.

I used to be 14E and 6-52ADA was my unit when they were in Ansbach Germany 3 years ago. I trained to shoot PATRIOT missiles and 1st Sgt Rodriguez was my 1st sgt actually- god damn I miss the Army!!! Go PATRIOT!!

3 years ago what battery where u in? i was in 6/52 too. I was in Delta btry. then when we left i was in Charlie. I left june 07. I was the commo guy though.

I used to be a 14E in 6-52 ADA when they were in Germany!!! When I was part of the unit, I trained to shoot these babies and 1st SGT Rodriguez was my first Sgt actually! Wow, wish I would have stayed in the Army- I miss it! Go Patriot!

a max alt of 50 km
can destroy "at least" 6 targets at the same time with hit probablty of "90 %"at max range with only 1 missile
min alt is 10 m!!
can deal with targets speed up to 5000 m/s
