doesnt matter when a stealth fighter launches a HARM 60 miles away and backs out. (yes i know that the s400 range is over 150 miles)

Im 14 echo patriot fire control enhanced operator maintainer, so i know what im talking about, the failure only took place in the 90s now the success rate is very high, the usa would not spend that much money on this equipment if it did not work...dumbfucks.

LOL at 'missile interceptors'. We have to remember though that there are suckers out there that actually believe this technology works!

I have news for you...to an extent, it does. No system is perfect, but it defended Isreal against Scud missiles in the First Gulf War. Of course, missiles did get through the system, but the Patriot did help counter the threat.

So why did Theodore Postol of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Reuven Pedatzur of Tel Aviv University testify before a House Committee that, according to their independent analyses, the Patriot system had a success rate of below 10%, and perhaps even a zero success rate? Clearly you are on of the suckers I eluded to earlier.

Are you certain that you are keeping success rate and accuracy straight? In the persian gulf, for example, an average of four Patriots were fired per hostile missile. If every missile was destroyed (which did not happen), the SUCCESS RATE would be 100%. The ACCURACY would be a mere 25%. And because less than 100% of missiles engaged were shot down, the Patriot has an accuracy of less than 25%; probably much less.

That success rate is from the first gulf war in the early 90's. The system was not designed to intercept ballistic missiles at that time. It was designed to shoot aircraft. With the PAC-3 upgrade, the success rate is extremely higher. In Operation Iraqi Freedom, PATRIOT shot 9 out of 9 Tactical Ballistic Missiles that were fired. You can't get much better than 100%
