i love magnets like that but there soooooooo expensive even for just what you have!

This Geomag-thing is sold as a toy, I think it's not too expensive since they're not actually built for scientific use. I guess 15 pounds for a set or so.

I tried making this with Magnetix and Whenevr the steel shperes got too close they would attract and stick to gether, but from a distance they still repelled. I had all the poles line up correctly but i found that connecting two rods to eachother (w/o a shpere) reduced the strength of repulsion.
How do you get yours to work? Or does Magnetix just suck?

made it myself, through his expert camera operating. its 58 rods and 25 spheres

Well thank you for your kind compliment, haha. I don't think the exact number of rods and spheres is really necessary because you can build a simple oscillator in virtually any arrangement, size, or shape. You guys should make your own versions and post them, not simply copy mine!

Iwe been building huge pyramids and simple stuff lately, thanks for giving me some good inspiration.
This is a really cool creation :-P

By the way, if you know of a web site with more "inspiration" like this, please tell me.

I'd say He used more than 60, I tried it Using the 70 piece filled Tube, and it Wasn't enough, I havn't Tried Magnetix, I got a 85 pc Bonus pack, I'd say its over 70.

Youre counting te Spheres right?

gravity is currently used as a power source, hydro electricity technically uses gravity to power...but i dont this can power anything, the magnets just merely contain the energy put into it, eventually wind resistance would stop the movement...put this in a vacuum and watch it go forever
