I thank them for protecting our country from Al-qaeeda and preventing young Iranian boys and girls from becoming addicts. They're doing a dangerous and important job!

They are brave defenders of the weak(drug addicts) i salute you my Iranian brothers.
Just sad that the trafficers are punished so hard they are just poor and weak ppl like the addicts.
I hope the high price for food will help the afgans to chance to food production rather the opium. And if not we (NATO) should buy the opium and destroy it that way all are happy... oh well not all hehe taliban and drug lords would be out of work :D

No, that will starve them; I wish you understood supply and demand with drugs. I am guessing you have never done drugs or been around drugs to understand the fundamentals. It is far easier to grow and make a profit on drugs, drug users will pay, if it is good they will pay far more than you will pay for a bag of rice, or figs. You can go without figs or rice they can't go without smack thus farmers will switch to opium crops to make up the debt.

They don't want to think Muslims do drugs; I don't think they grasp the drug trade. To them it's Western=bad, Middle Eastern=good, they don't sin or indulge in drugs, only Westerners do. Don't bother arguing with people whom see Muslims as somehow above other humans.

Iran has massive heroin problem.
America stopped the UK from working with iran to stop the drug flow.
America invaded afganistan to secure opium crop-300% increase since invasion, taliban were destroying poppy fields, yet usa said they were complicit in production!
CIA smuggled opium out of vietnam after all.

Well you should know by now from the CIA's involvement in Colombia that they don't give a fuck about drugs. All I was saying is that Iranians do drugs like any other group; the CIA wouldn't care if this drug problem were in the US. The CIA thinks first of whom will fight their enemy of the moment if they smuggle heroin or cocaine oh well. I'm not naive I just ask that some of these Muslims, not be as well.
