It's actually the Dig Dug dude.... unless Mr. Driller (which I'm not knowingly familiar with) is just a series continuation of Dig Dug, in which case you're right. I was actually asking "when the heck did his gun improve that much?" myself.

On another topic, is it just me or did the girl in the blue robe (at 4:42) turn into Makoto (from Street Fighter 3) at 4:47 (well, okay, I admit the hair is wrong)? And what other characters she turns into are also cameos?

I'm sure there are some alternatives in like Jump (Ultimate) Superstars or maybe (the here probably hated) Super Smash Brothers Brawl. It may happen one day and it may not. It may be a japanese thing to keep stuff exclusive or it may be just a financial risk to bring the game to the US and elsewhere. Could be any reasonm, as stated before.
