BDF - P-38 Wilk - Polish Multirole Fighter

P-38 „Wilk" (wolf) was an extremely advanced polish multirole fighter (also capable of precise diving bombing).
The project was ordered by the Ministry of War in 1934 and accomplished in 1936.
The tragic death of young, very talented „Foka" (seal) engine's designer - engineer S. Nowokuński - caused that engines were late and ready to service just in 1939.
Two prototypes of P-38 were built with temporary engines in 1937 and the first flight had place in 1938.
P-38 Wilk was shown to the world public as the star of the 16th International Paris Aviation Salon in November 1938. The experts called him the most advanced and beautiful plane in the world.
P-38 was the first aircraft designed to use laminar flow airfoils. It was over 10 years before last version of famous North American P-51 „Mustang"!
The Wilk was one of the new generation, entirely metal, twin-engine aircraft with two crew members housed in the long cockpit equipped with dual controls.

It was powered by two lightweight PZL „Foka" V-engines (490 hps), it had a maximum speed of 270 mph (500 km/h) and range of 777 miles (1250 km). It was 27 ft 10 in (8,35 m) long with 36 ft 10 in (11.05 m) wingspan and 4790 lbs(2,155 kg) empty weight.
The aircraft was armed with one 20 mm cannon, 4 machine-guns and 667 lbs (300 kg) bombs.

But hey just joke, dont get angry. But this was one of the only useful vehicle against Germans blizkrieg over poland. You know what i mean, lets talk about tankette tank. Wtf can it do against blizkrieg when panzers rush against them and stukas do their job? How the hell can crew go inside there and even use it, one of the great questions of the world :D

Yes, mr joker, interesting question can be also why German thiefs were using stolen Czech and Polish gear, like PZL-37 "Łoś" (of course just simulation) or Polish 7-TP tank... Wait, isn`t it just my imagination that 7-TP was a class above German PzKw-1 or PzKw-2 from 1939? Everybody knows that Polish army drives only bikes and horses... But the question remains, why France, Belgium, Nethertlandes and BEF lost at least the same fast, not even haveing soviets on thier back?

Kolejne głupie żalenie się nad stanem polskiego uzbrojenia. Śmieszy mnie te próby udowadniania na siłę jaką tą nowoczesną mieliśmy armię... bo czyni to wrześniową klęskę jeszcze bardziej kompromitującą. Zabrakło otwartych umysłów w najwyższych szczeblach, w mniejszym stopniu pieniędzy. Byliśmy pod względem potencjału zbrojeniowego daleko w tyle za III Rzeszą i ZSRR.

Przeciez to jest tylko prezentacja konstrukcji lotniczej. To co Pan sobie dopowiedzial i w dodatku dopowiedziane smieszy Pana jest nie na temat. Natomiast merytoryczny komenarz na temat Wilka mile widziany.

No straszna szkoda, ale niestety u nas tak jest, że wspaniałe koncepcje rozbijają się o prozaiczne przeszkody... Szkoda, naprawdę szkoda. Sam w tym roku będę pisał magisterkę na polibudzie - niestety, z bólem serca, widzę ilu wartościowych ludzi marnuje się na naszych uczelniach z powodu niedofinansowania szkolnictwa wyższego. Tak naprawdę, gdyby znalazły się fundusze i ludzie prawej mentalności, moglibyśmy się stać światowym mocarstwem. Ale teraz cóż, gryźmy tę swoją polską biedę...

Wilk byłby dobrym szturmowcem, miał działko 20 mm i dwa kaemy z przodu, do tego strzelec z tyłu

Dobra nie jest super ale nie 3 okręty! Wiek wiekiem ale sprawnych jest dużo więcej.
