And it was mainly because of the heavy war reparations placed upon Germany after the first war to end all wars that Hitler was able to take control of Germany- hence WWII. Germany was in no way to blame for all the pain of WWI but Great Britain and France wanted payback. Then after a horrendous depression + all the war reparations Hitler stepped in, handed the downtrodden German men a K98 and said now go get some payback for yourself and your families. Hence WWII and the Holocaust.

I think I've got kanjorski figured out. He is one of many who will always call all German soldiers (especially those horrid SS) criminals. That way people can just gloss over the other atrocities committed during WWII. Like the murder of 13 million Chinese at the hands of the Japanese. Or the slaughter of millions of Russian civilian and military folk by the order of Stalin (which by the way wasn't even his real name). It harkens back to how Germany was blamed and heavily punished for WWI.

Kangurski - my last word, I promise - you mentioned native indians being slaughtered in battle? You gotta read up! Is that what you call the small-pox infected blankets that were a "gift" from the Americans? Very humane warfare. I'm on nobody's side here, all I'm saying is that people who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

IKKYSNARLY: Don't qute me on this but I think that was the British that pulled the infected blanket germ genocide upon the native Americans. Just do a Google on smallpox infected blankets given to American Indians. But even in that case I will not say that all British soldiers were murderous scum because of the sins of a few murderous British officers.

Fair one on the use of the word mate but the inclusion of me knowing any Russians? Have you ever heard of Uncle Joe Stalin? He made Hitler look like a pussycat - and that takes some doing. I think I'll not bother here anymore cos it's obviously futile trying to have an educated discussion with you. I've better things to do.

Kangurski, sorry mate but the SS they were not all murdering whatevers - they were very effective shock troops (like modern Brit Marines or Paras). It must be said though, their No1 loyalty was to Hitler above the regiment, mates and country. They got slagged off cos of their high casualty rate but the Wermacht were always happy when they turned up. If anyone here is uneducated Kangurski, it is you my friend. There are two sides to every story - even the darkest ones.

It makes no difference if you gun down hundreds of Indian women & children in a creek bed or gas hundreds of Jewish women & children in gas chambers- IT IS ALL MURDER. But not all the American soldiers particapated in the murder of Native Americans and not all German soldiers (even SS) were murderous scum. There are always exceptions- except maybe in your case. It takes small minded people like yourself to just join the chorus of hate and then you have mass murder. THE TRUTH. THE END.

bowie, why are you still trying? you've lost that argument long time ago, so why bother?
and yes, there is a big difference between slaughtering hundreds of indians in a battle and gasing millions of hopeless victims after they were robbed, beaten, starved, worked to the extreme exhaustion, their teeth pulled from their jaws, and then making a lampshade of their skin or stuffing mattresses with their hair. And mind you, all that was done while paying the SS 1 Reichsmark a day per slave worker
