Whatever, all the Nations of the world argue! the simple fact is, that the thing that drove the first World war as with ALL wars is Greed, A waring to own wealth/land not your own!!!!!!!

Also, there were a german named weisskopf (white head once he moved to america) that flew a powered aircraft moths or even years before Wright. But he were silenced and no one ever heard of him until decades later, and the world is still taught that the Wrights were the first ones :/

Following the end of WWI,the allies imposed the harsh conditions both before (Germany was under a land & naval blockcade 1918 - 1923)and after the signing of the Treaty of Versailles 1924. The British demanded £700 Billion in war repatriation payments and took all of Germany's gold. France seized & occupied the Ruhr valley and America received all of Germany's technology & heavy industry patents (inventions)which helped propel the US stock market through the 1920's.

your wrong, as far as what the french and british go, you are right, but the U.S. was against the treaty as it was too harsh. The u.s. didn't steal german tech after ww1 as aside from mustard gas the allies had the tech advantage (do tanks ring a bell?) what propelled our stock market is we had the only infastructure left standing. so we became the only supplier. don't forget investment from u.s. banks allowed germany to pay its war debt as after the u.s. banks failed, the depression hit europe.

No,you are wrong!
What about the diesel & otto 4 cycle engine royalties? Cellophane(went to 3M),alloy steels, armour steel,Nitrogen process for fertilizer & amatol explosives, synthetic rubber(to ASR),Hydrogenation of vegetable oil process(to Shering Plough - crisco oil) plus lots more.
Study the birth of some of the big DJI stocks and you will see when they came about.
Germany had already experienced 2 depressions in the decade before the 1930s one.

your fuckin nuts.
Alexn1067 (March 25, 2008 at 5:59 pm)
you germans always throw random inventions out there then scream about how they were somehow taken in theft by others. by that thinking you could never use anything as everything is based off of the ideas of other men and nations. you are just a chest beating populist.

I am not German - reading British & European history is a hobby of mine.
Your arguments are shallow and baseless.
