im sure there is a perfectly logical reason... but instead of using this whole midi translator business... why cant you just map midi controllers to functions in live? would save a lot of hassle!

I've spent so much time trying to get the same result but my workflow was way off. Thanks for a simplified approach. FUCK! I don't even know where to start... It's the same feeling I got when I went from Fruity Loops on an old Dell Insperon to Live, Reason and Logic on my Mac Pro; fewer constraints = even more possibilities.

You have to make sure you have midi yoke first. Second thing is you have to make sure to click on options in Bomes Translator and click midi thru. If you do not click this midi will not go through to ableton.

Replace the midi tracks with audio tracks and you can do it like kid beyond. All the midi programing is being used to switch tracks
