While there were on a major label, they are no longer going that route. They are an independent entity handling all aspects in house including distribution of their last CD signing their own exclusive deal with Target. They are doing things their way and doing it very well IMO.

I love Collective Soul, and they are great live. But I would really disagree with the video info. They are NOT an Indie band! They were much more Alternative Rock, and of the late 90's Third Eye Blind, Better Than Ezra, and Matchbox 20 era. Love the band, but come on! They sell out arenas, not hole in the wall night clubs. They're just NOT Indie.
