PYSNA PRINCEZNA (Proud Princess, 1952) - The (Happy) End

Back

The first Czech fairy-tale filmed by Borivoj Zeman in 1952. It was a remarkable phenomena in its time - with more than 8 million spectators, it is by far the most successful movie in Czech film history and started a famous tradition of Czech film fairy-tales. However, I am not sure, if its black-and-white appearance may be so much appealing even to today's foreign spectators, who are not familiar with the long tradition of this movie in Czech republic. In any case, it was so well-done that many people think that the movie is in color. (

Mrkni se na internet. Opravdu se to tak překládá. Nechtěl jsem tudíž experimentovat s mým vlastním překladem.
