The Basics: Natural Hair Care

Back

The absolute basic fundamentals to taking care of Afro Natural hair.

I mentioned 's Amla & Olive Oil Heavy Cream
Vegetable Glycerin

Instead of using a microwave to warm up shea butter or olive oil try warming up in on the stove at a low heat. As a commenter reminded me, heat changes the molecular structure of most things. If you are really concerened about this try putting your product to be warmed in a glass and placing that glass in a pot of warm water. This will melt or warm your product at a slower pace which helps keep most of its molecules in tact.

Hey yall, I JUST went natural, so to answer some of yall questions.... I would suggest letting your hair grow for a while but sooner or later the relaxed hair will start to damage your natural hair, and it WILL stunt the growth so..... cut it out. I cut my hair after about five months.

Do you still use the Amla and Heavy cream? And you found it helped with split ends?

I enjoy watching your videos. Their very informative. I wasn't able to hear the product you mention. It was something like heavy cream or something what is it and where can I purchase it. Can you help me I am trying to get a product that bring my natural curl. I have used many however none have given me the results I'm looking for.
