Heard some recent comments that they were scrapping the 30mm and going back to the 40mm's. Something about the 30mm not having the same punching power or something.

the new version is replacing the bofors with a bushmaster chain gun and the 105 with the 120mm cannon out of the abrahams and challanger tanks.

the cannon on this aircraft is a GAU12 25mm gatlin gun cannon.. i dont deal alot with 25mm but the 20mm i do for the f-16 freakin awesome! USAF AMMO!

I think they call them GAU25? they are 25mm gattling guns..... cant remember the rate of fire but its high. but yes they are what you might call vulcan cannons i guess.

erm, yea. I think those are the exact ones... Maybe GAU12, but i dunno... there are several different ones.
