I am SOOOO sad. I haven't been able to find a copy of "Big Night Music" for less than $50.

Shortly after this song came out, "pond scum" became the epithet of the year. I think it works better understated as in the song, "pond life." Quite interesting lyrics, especially the lines I don't know what mean!

This is just beautiful, a very versatile and criminally overlooked band.

Fantastic band. I saw them at the old Ritz in NYC, and they went on until 4 AM; my friends and I speculated that the reason Barry Andrews ran offstage between songs was that there was a big tank of oxygen back there... anyway, they worked hard for the money.

Is it just me or does anyone think that maybe Ed Kowalczyk (Live) was heavily influenced by Barry?
happyhead64 (August 4, 2008 at 5:53 pm)
yes. I have it.

Cormorant? Sounds like the stole an idea from Al Stewart! But I'll have to check it out, because Big Night Music was incredible.
