Guam

Back

In 1976-1978, we lived on the island of Guam. I made this picture video for Uncle Dewey from some slides.

We lived in a government (FAA) housing development that appears to no longer exist on Google Earth. If anyone has any info why, please contact us.

Hey, I was at NCS from 1974 to 1979, including Operation New Life and Supertyphoon Pamela. It was a remote tropical paradise then; have the rest of you seen videos now? Still, I'm looking forward to a visit back. Thanks for the video; post more! (A physicist? Really?)

Cool! We lived on Guam form 74-77. Our ather worrked at the airport for Pan Am. We lived in Agana, up a hill and across the street form Governor Bordalio (sp?). We went to St. John's and swam on the Manukai swim team. Waht great years they were!! We survived the Typhoon in '76 and lost our phone for a year! We found our dog "Corky"-a pup, wnadering the beach at Tumon Bay aeating dried fish! He was a true "boonie dog" Great memories-thanks for posting!

Enjoyed the reminder of what those days looked like - the cars, the hair styles, the island.Great reminders.I lived in Finegayan (NCS) housing 76-78 - 32 Oleander Ct. Miss my neighbors. Remember when the typhoons would come and we'd all come out when the eye passed over. Another thing was the (at the time few) snakes that would go after birds at the power substations and cause island-wide power outages. I was in 10th & 11th grades at JFK then Duenas. Happy to hear from any old aquaintences.
