Ordinary world - Chapter III
----------------------------
Came in from a rainy Thursday
on the avenue
thought I heard you talking softly
I turned on the lights, the TV
and the radio
still I can't escape the ghost of you
What has happened to it all?
Crazy, some'd say
Where is the life that I recognize?
But I won't cry for yesterday
there's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
and as I try to make my way
to the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Passion or coincidence
once prompted you to say
"Pride will tear us both apart"
Well now pride's gone out the window
cross the rooftops
run away
left me in the vacuum of my heart
What is happening to me?
Crazy, some'd say
Where is my friend when I need you most?
But I won't cry for yesterday
there's an ordinary world
somehow I have to find
and as I try to make my way
to the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Papers in the roadside
tell of suffering and greed
here today, forgot tomorrow
ooh, here besides the news
of holy war and holy need
ours is just a little sorrowed talk
And I don't cry for yesterday
there's an ordinary world
Somehow I have to find
and as I try to make my way
to the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
every one
any one
any one
every one

Perhaps alphawulf40, but maybe the real sin is to think we are helpless, pathetic creatures with no hope other than some divine, invisible entity. Teaching that we cant find hope in ourselves seems dark to me. Oh and good song!

you can't think that religion make al the people do strange things.

We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing, all-powerful God, who creates faulty humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes.
It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
Todays religion will be the futures mythology. Both believed at one time by many; but proved wrong by the clever.

Would you give it a minute and thin of what you're saying?
So you are saying that we were brain washed by religion since the existence of our species as we we faught wars and we weren't the fuzzy pacifist creatures you fantasize about.
Racism and xenophobia and other feelings and their consequences such as wars and genocides and slavery are necessary for the existence of any species and it is natural to say the least.

The fact that a believer is happier than a sceptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one. The happiness of credulity is a cheap and dangerous quality.
Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.
I still say a church steeple with a lightning rod on top shows a lack of confidence.
A man is accepted into a church for what he believes and he is turned out for what he knows.

Wars, genocide and slavery are necessary for the existance of any species? I think that is perhaps too general of a phrase don't you think. The human species perhaps, but one will find that few other species on earth practice war, genocide, or slavery.
