Anyone interested less in refereeing YouTube arguing than in understanding the evidence underlying warming driven by CO2 and other carbon emissions can find details in the literature (GRL, JGR, PNAS, J. Climate, etc.), but can also Google web sources as a start - "Global Warming" for a wikipedia overview plus references, "Greenhouse Effect" for basic physics, "Climate Book" for a mathematicaly rigorous analysis, and "Lean Rind 2008" for a recent paper with model-independent confirmatory data.

This man is lying. What is worse, he KNOWS IT. I have listened now for five minutes and I have heard ten lies or misrepresentations of data that he has knowingly lied about. I only get 500 letters so I can't go into it but if you think the world is going to end due to global warming you are as misguided as Alfred here.

All climate monitoring, including the satellite MSU data, show resumption of warming following the temporary La Nina cooling of earlier this year. The pattern is typical of the ups and downs frequently seen during the past decades of CO2-driven warming. One example of the satellite data is at global-warming. accuweather. com/ (see the Nov. 6 comments showing temperature rising toward the long term warming trend line of 0.158C/decade.)

ok, to you global warming (morphed into 'climate changers when the former term was proven a fraud) THE DEBATE IS OVER- Your religion has been declared 'dead'. Google "The world has never seen such freezing heat"

In a remarkable move, the U.S. EPA has placed a temporary halt on construction of new coal-fired power plants, allowing the incoming administration to regulate them to minimize CO2 emissions. Many individual states already mandate minimum requirements for electricity generation from alternative energy, but this is one of the clearest signs of a serious attempt at the national level to begin controlling carbon emissions, and perhaps signifies a willingness for the U.S. to lead rather than follow.

I'd like to join in in thanking Al Gore again, for prevailing so strongly on this issue and for waking up the world to the biggest challenge it has ever faced. Even the United States is now moving in the right direction.

Thank you Al Gore for doing all you could in the face of all the obstacles that were in your way.

Thank you from all the people's of the world who have depended on your advocacy, as well as all the living forms of life that hang in the balance as well.
