The Nobel Peace Prize - awarded "to the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses."

Irena Sendler was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007, but lost to Al Gore's propaganda film.

Like Glenn says, Irene IS reaping her rewards for her ubelievable selflessness and heroinism. Al Gore is reaping...well, better let you draw your own conclusions to that one!

I absolutely agree with this reporter--a stupid slide show by a career politico, vs. a woman who did real things to save many children who would have otherwise been led to a gas chamber? What a travesty that the Nobel committee rewarded Al Gore...

Al Gore won it over a Catholic saint because the media does not want to admit that there are good Catholics out there. The same thing happened with Pope Pius XII. It has been mistakenly said that Pius was on the side of the Nazis which is not true. Pius XII hid the Jews from the Nazis. A Jewish Rabbi wrote a book about it, The Myth of Hitler's Pope.
