OK, I've got a 48inch sector nine pintail. I have some basic bamboo series 70mm wheels that are pretty broken in but my slides still are very fast and are hard to keep going. when i ride my friends 38 Bigpin with 65mm Sliding formula wheels i can slide down hills for about half the hill if i try, any pointers on slidnig my Board? and should i get those 65mm sliding wheels?

i had those same wheels before i got my dervish and they are terrible for sliding, if you want a good wheel for sliding get some abec 11 no schools. but if you want a wheel thats good for both sliding and cruzing get some Orangatang in heats or 4 prez.

and if i were you i would ditch the pintail and get a loaded dervish

I wonder. Because I have the Big Zigs on my board if you can put the Earthwing wheels on a drop through...

MHS says the core is 74d. I don't have much reference to tell whether that figure is dead on, but I can tell you there's no way it's in the 70a range. Not sure about the contact thane, though; it'd be interesting to find out.

Regardless, I'm less concerned with the specs than I am with the ride. =)

hmm weird. I know for a fact though that the urethane is 66D, i've been told that specifically by Brian Petrie (I talk to him in person occasionally). He got that info from the company that pours his wheels.
