"An absolutely phenomenal documentary." Glenn Beck, Syndicated talk show host
Everything you've ever been told about Global Warming is probably untrue. From Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth to news reports from the popular media outlets and even public classrooms which, in chicken little fashion, are screaming - the sky is falling. But is it really?
This documentary, which contraditcs these claims and has been described by some as the most explosive film of the year and the definitive answer to Al Gore features interviews from some of the Worlds leading scientists, climatologists and former environmentalist like:
* Dr. John Christy, Professor of Atmospheric Science and Director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama
* Dr. Philip Stott, Emeritus Professor of Biogeography, University of London
* Dr. Paul Reiter, IPCC & Pasteur Instititue, Paris
* Dr. Roy Spencer, Principle Research Scientist University of Alabama
* Dr. Patrick Michaels, Department of Environmental Science, University of Virginia
* Dr. Syun-lchi Akasofu, Director, International Arctic Research Center
* Dr. Fredrick Singer, First Director, U.S. National Weather Satellite Service
* Dr. Richard Lindzen, IPCC & Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.)
* Dr. Tim Ball, Former Professor of Climatology, University of Winnepeg
* Dr. Niz Shaviv, Professor of Physics, Hebrew University of Jerusalem
* Dr. Ian Clark, Professor Department of Earth Sciences, Univertisy of Ottawa
* Dr. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Green Peace
* Dr. Paul Driessen, author of Eco-Imperalism: Green Power Black Death
The Great Global Warming Swindle blows the whistle on what may be the biggest swindle in modern history. Proponets of man made global warming warn that climate change is the greatest threat ever to mankind, and, if we do not change our ways and reduce CO2 emissions - polar ice caps will melt, coastal areas will flood and hurricane like Katrina will become common.
With nearly Gestapo like tactics we are commanded not to question the edicts of the ICCP (oops, sorry, the IPCC - Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change). There is absolutely no room for doubt because there is a "scientific consensus." Anyone who questions the data or conclusion is an enemy of the state and humanity.
Well, this is exactly what this well documented film does! Our challenge - watch this film and make up your own mind.
"The Great Global Warming Swindle should be seen by everyone interested in the global enviroment, especially those who have seen the Al Gore movie." Professor William M. Gray, meterologist

The carbon tax is just another political agenda. manufacturers having to pay the tax will pass on the costs to the consumer. It's a lose lose situation. The only winner is the government, lining their pockets. Where is the money going to go anyway? Not to fix the problem of green house gases, that's for sure.

The North Pole ice is melting at a rate of ~1% per year. In the summer of 2007, a south wind brought warm air to the North Pole for weeks, significantly reducing the ice pack. A situation will not be repeated this year.
The future Green Pole seems unavoidable. It wouldn't be the first time. In 2007, Dutch scientists discovered, 55 million years ago, the North and South Poles had subtropical climates, complete with palm trees and crocodiles. But it's unlikely to occur in the foreseeable future.

"Arctic sea ice is not at the lowest level on record: According to the US National Snow and Ice Data Center at the University of Colorado, Boulder, that occurred on Sept. 21, 2005."

Wow, ice melts? Say it isn't so. I've just looked up ice melt at the poles. Some sights tout that "there may be no more ice at the north pole this summer. Well, summer's almost over and the north pole has tons of ice.
If all the ice at the poles melted completely, we'd see a global rise in ocean levels on the order of only a few inches. Remember, ice is less dense than water. The volume of ice is higher than the equivalent amount of water.

Ever do the experiment in science class where you measure the level of water with ice cubes in it, melt the ice, and take another reading? The results are that the volume has decreased. Ice has more volume than water. That's why it floats. Plus the mass of the ice displaces the same amount of water. No significant change in volume when the ice melts into water.

lol, thats too much info for most ppl I guess. Didnt we learn that in grd 3?
iriasukun (September 4, 2008 at 11:15 pm)
Have you got any idea of what you are saying???The ice will melt propably in a few decades. And please dont tell me that you are thinking just the ice under the water cause there is ice over the ice wich has been there for thousands of years with out melting and for the first time we see it melting.I dont know about you but i am not prepared like the americans to just say i dont see it its not happening.
ziljn (September 5, 2008 at 12:00 am)
Thousands of years without melting?? The first time we see it melting?
Seriously, where do you learn this stuff?

The information I gave to you previously, was found on a website regarding the polar ice caps, their rate of melting and the fact that there was no ice at one point in history. The polar bears and penguins seemed to have survived that impact. Humans have survived it. The world wasn't flooded at that time. Noah didn't live during that era.
However, we should still be envriomentally responsible. Earth's resources are limited. Gas prices are outrageous.

Yes, we do need to be more environmentally responsible, but claiming that man is causing the climate to change is unfounded.
