The American Denial of Global Warming
BackPolls show that between one-third and one-half of Americans still believe that there is "no solid" evidence of global warming, or that if warming is happening it can be attributed to natural variability. Others believe that scientists are still debating the point. Join scientist and renowned historian Naomi Oreskes as she describes her investigation into the reasons for such widespread mistrust and misunderstanding of scientific consensus and probes the history of organized campaigns designed to create public doubt and confusion about science. The myth that anthropogenic warming does not pose serious threats to human welfare is basically a creation of blogs, media, and other Web sources. In the science literature, CO2-driven warming is universally recognized without exception. No contradictory passage from a legitimate journal has been quoted here or elsewhere. The problem with "controversy" mythology is that it distracts from CO2 mitigation efforts that are now the focus of discussion in the outside world, and perhaps should be here.

"Man should not meddle until he has a full understanding of what he's doing BEFORE doing it".
Your qoute c02lies.
So why haven't you answered my post regarding this comment, not afraid are we?
There are many many things that man has done without having a full understanding of what he was doing before he did it.

Do you think I give a f about my countrys oil? Ive never seen any of it. That is a weak discredit, not a fact, but coming from you, Ill let it slide.
Where are these graphs showing temperature following CO2? The ones showing our cruel impact on environment, when in fact, we are not even guilty of a % of the CO2 being let out into our atmosphere?
I don´t care about the oil, I care about a 13 year old girl saying she won´t have children, couse school thaught her they will die anyway, from GW

prunar,
But you are assuming the hypothesis of C02 warming is real.
If this was the case things would be different - but it's not.
Assumptions have been the biggest mistakes in all of this.
AGW is an assumption that is proving to be invalid.
Changing economies based on an assumption is simply irresponsible. It absolutely MUST be validated BEFORE any action is taken.

c02lies-Should we compare the "steering" abilities of economic forecasting with climate change, it would be like steering a canoe on one hand (economics) and steering a 10-mile-long supertanker, using wooden paddles, on the other hand. We can afford, perhaps, to make errant economic forecasts, because we might want to lay off controlling some part of it, and then make a correction later. A mistake in our climate change policy is less forgiving.

WINTER STARTS VERY EARLY IN THE USA.
"As much as 3 feet is forecast in the Tetons in northwestern Wyoming. Billings, Mont."
This sort of snow storm usually happens beginning at the end of November.
This winter expected to be harsh, maybe even worse than last year.
This is one more example that Al Gore is wrong.

icecream-I got news for you. Winter storms are predicted to be made more intense by AGW. I've been in Jackson, Wyoming in early September and seen snow. No big deal. It's the huge amount (3 feet) that comes from winter precip increases. Nobody is saying that AGW is the ONLY force of climate and weather change. Weather will always be variable from year to year but climate exhibits long term trends.

It's just getting beyond a joke.
And it serves no purpose, so far it's been very one sided in that it was only us getting the brunt of the thumbs downs etc..
Now it seems to be almost every one who comments.
I wish who ever it is that is marking the warmers posts would stop it - as it make us look bad.
Previously we held the moral high ground on this issue - but now we all tainted by this stupidity.
Everyone please use a little common sense and stop with the censoring of comments.

Well I've just about had enough of all this marking things as spam etc...
Whats the point?
There are too many mindless fools here.
When everything is being mark as spam on both sides it becomes just a waste of every ones time.
How about calling a truce?
With no more thumbs downs or marking anything as spam?
This stupid censoring of opinion is pointless.
Everyone here has a right to there opinion - and NO ONE the right to censor it.
Enough is enough....
