RARE MASSIVE 6-GILL SHARK SIGHTING AT 3300 FT DEPTH!!
BackThis six-gill shark (Hexanchus) was filmed during a submersible dive off the northeast coast of Molokai at a depth of 1000m (3280ft). The 2 red laser dots are 6 inches apart, resulting in a length of about 18 ft for the shark.
Great ecstatic live commentary by University of Hawaii Oceanography Professor Jeff Drazen!
Many thanks to Dr. Craig Smith (University of Hawaii) and Dr. Eric Vetter for permitting release of this footage which was obtained as part of their research data set.

People it's not a Megalodon. That species was estimated to be about 60-100ft long. FAR larger than the shark shown here.
There is a famous picture out there of 3 of 4 men standing INSIDE the jaw of a Megalodon. That would make its head much larger than 1 meter wide.
Haydenfroop, your a fool. Please try to do some research next time before you tout something as "pure evidence". You obviously don't know what your talking about.

People it's not a Megalodon...
It's a Six Gill shark... That's the official name for them (correct me if I'm wrong)
Now the rare part is that it's huge!
Love the video, but I don't want people thinking it's a Megalodon. They where a lot bigger! And aggressive!

AWESOME!
I love sharks, I definatly agree... We should start conserving them because we kill more of them, than they do of us.
Also, more people have died by getting hit in the head by a cocnut then by a shark...
But this video was incredible! It definatly shows us *cough**cough* scientists, that there are a lot of other animals in the ocean we havn't discovered. They brush it off like, "It could never be possible" but how can you say that with 95% of the worlds ocean undiscovered?
