If we humans were allowed to live long enough, they would contort and disfigure everything in their reach.
Then they would worship them as deities, as if they revived what was dying in them.
In Islamic terminology, the word for the devil is "Iblis" from the root-word balasa: meaning 'frustration' or 'despair'.
What would it mean to glorify images of despair? Who do we create and admire as art?
-Not pushing a religion here. But then, art, religion, poetry are members of the same family.

i can see what you are saying.except that art and poetry are imitations of life - they do not influence life. Religion has the opposite effect and i would not put it in the same catagory. Religion influences life too much, and very often, destroys it.
