because Del Piero has always been a much better substitute than a key forward. He's better coming on for 20 minutes when the pressure isn't on him to be the main attacker. Look at 1998 (mistake), as he was used as the main striker by Maldini and hardly touched the ball in 5 games - when Robby Baggio clearly should have been the main forward then...oh well...history...

R.Baggio in WC94 suffered ALMOST the same thing... Sacchi was so wrong... But the luck was with Baggio (and Italy) in that game VS Nigeria in 1/8final...He went into the field, with 1-2 against...,after that, 5 crucial goals, and sense of art...

In WC 98, C.Maldini was ultra-defensive!! Vieri scoring the goals, and Del Piero with no support...,very much alone; and,of course, Baggio should have played more!

(In Juve, Del Piero had Zidane, Davids and also Inzaghi...)

Grande montaggio... é proprio un regista questo ragazzo (o ragazza)! ehehehe. Per me questa é stata la finale del 2006, con la Francia e stato un 'encore', un 'bis', questi due gol di Grosso e Del Piero mi ricordano la passione degli AZZURRI, 'l'ultimo minuto' che ci caraterizza, le vittorie proprio dei film... CLAMOROSI!, e non voglio contradire Blame, ma con rispetto dico... AVREMO LA QUINTA NEL 2010, SOLTANTO GIOCANDO COME UNA VERA SQUADRA, COME NEL 2006, BRAVO RAGAZZI!
