Darfur Region - Sudan Genocide on border of Chad and the doorway to the Arab worlds. The Darfur conflict is a complex crisis in the Darfur region of western Sudan. One side of the armed conflict is composed mainly of the Sudanese military and the Janjaweed, a militia group recruited mostly from the tribes of the northern Rizeigat, camel-herding nomads. The other side comprises a variety of rebel groups, notably the Sudan Liberation Movement and the Justice and Equality Movement, recruited primarily from the land-tilling Fur, Zaghawa, and Massaleit ethnic groups. The Sudanese government, while publicly denying that it supports the Janjaweed, has provided money and assistance to the militia and has participated in joint attacks targeting the tribes from which the rebels draw support.The conflict began in February 2003. Unlike in the Second Sudanese Civil War, which was fought between the primarily Muslim north and Christian and Animist south, almost all of the combatants and victims in Darfur are Muslim. The government and Janjaweed attacks upon the non-Baggara civilian populace have resulted in a major humanitarian crisis. There are many casualty estimates, most concurring on a range within the hundreds of thousands. The United Nations (UN) estimates that the conflict has left as many as 450,000 dead from violence and disease. Most NGOs (non-governmental organizations) use 200,000 to over 400,000, a figure from the Coalition for International Justice that has since been cited by the UN. Sudan's government claims that over 9,000 people have been killed, although this figure is seen as counterfactual. As many as 2.5 million are thought to have been displaced as of October 2006. I'm reading this guy's book right now and it is really really good. It's a shame that more resources aren't sent to Africa the way we send them to the Middle East.

I think WE should all do our part to end this horrible thing. I didn't know much about it until my son Krystofer told me to come and check out what is going on, and I did and this is so sad. Thank you krystofer now my family here in Michigan can do something about it too.

Please. How can we help save Darfur? If we send money, they will not get it. It is known to go to the big investors instead.

genocide is immposible on the blackman cause he is the original n without him no ohter colors exist.its all just some sick game the devils came up with for the white devils to kill the gods n the black devils to kill themselves as gods. forget sending money deal with protons which is postive energy that weigh 3 times as much as negative energy so its always heavier to do positive but it pays off.instead of watching tv n read book.dont eat posin fruit tasting food n eat fruit.

do not pretend what will arabs do if they have the power because simply they dont have it,
but please my friend, tell me what did americans and jews did with the power? I think they are spreading peace everywhere aren't they? no wars at all, no iraq, afghanestan, and israel wars
1 last thing, history can tell exactly who is using the power in a bad way, i do not say that arabs are angles but amercans and jews are evil, its really funny to lead wars in the name of peace.

this Arabs are like the Nazi's. the "Palestinians" in Gaza are not different then the criminals in Sudan, they will kill every "kuffar" (non muslim) in Israel if they had the power.
