if you modded the amp to have a line out and also put a large wattage resistor on the output stage to keep the output transformer loaded, then yeah, you could plug the head version into the input of another amp (but it would be the line out that would connect to the input of the other amp, not the speaker output).

im pretty sure it is the v1 since it doesn't have the 8 or 16 ohm output jacks

the humming is from the valve heater circut, its not dc, its ac

the early v1 heads had ac heaters I believe, my v2 head has dc heaters and does not suffer from hum anywhere near the level in this video. maybe he had a monitor running nearby - I know all my amps pickup LOTS of hum if there is a PC monitor running.

In other demos the Valve Jr sounds great.. But he makes it suck!
