I hope these people enjoy summer, because where they are going its bloody hot and a man pokes you with his pitchfork!

So the prefice of this video is that the bible is full of a bunch of wierd rules. Yes it says in Leviticus that homosexuality is wrong, but it says just a few verses later that
*You shouldn't eat shell fish
*You shouldn't wear cotton and linen combined
*You shouldn't have sex with a virgin.
*If a husband dies without a son, his wife must have sex with all of his brothers till she has one.


THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN TODAY- Because we know that these rules are irrelevant in today's society. Likewise with an estimated 100-200 Million homosexuals in the world, people need to be accepting of them and agree that some arcane passage in the bible should not constitute the right to hate a group of people. Otherwise you should hate all people who have sex before marriage, those that get divorced etc.

By the way- I believe in God!! I believe in a higher power. But I do not believe in the bible as a book of his teachings and I do not believe in the church.

Rules against sodomy in Leviticus 18 and 20 are not legislating for ordinary human affairs. Throughout, the authors of Leviticus are chiefly concerned with temple ritual. ritual bestiality, child sacrifice, and the cultic use of menstrual blood in sorcery. The verses against sodomy (Leviticus 18:22; 20:13) forbid temple prostitution: which defiles the land, that concerns Leviticus.

Everybody reads the Bible selectively. If people followed every single biblical ruling to the letter, the world would be full of Christians who love their enemies and refuse to judge other people, which is plainly not the case. Christians would also be obliged to eat kosher meat (Acts 15:20) and stone their disobedient sons to death (Deuteronomy 21:18-21). The world has changed practices that were acceptable 2k years ago have become abhorrent.

I'm really not sure why people are so concerned with something that has no affect on them. Gay people will not come to your house and make you gay nor will they demand you marry a gay person. I couldn't really give crap what my neighbor does so long as it doesn't affect me personally. Why should I? It's like an OCD thing in my view when people worry about the private lives of people they don't even know!
