That's a bit strong don't you think? OK so grizzle is wrong but at least he cares. Isn't that worth saying is good?

Nope.

It appears the video poster has opted to condone the concept of sawing a Gatso down by removing the information that a high power electric cable runs up the central column - sensible? Nah.

It was suggested by tharonmiller;
Here's a great idea for the next time you good guys are coming home from the pub ... get a battery powered Sawzall and just cut the whole thing off and keep it for a 'trophy!'

What I don't understand, is that, in the main static speed cameras are positioned in locations with a history of collisions and personal injury. How exactly do people justify destroying a piece of equipment designed to reduce/stop such events happening in any given location?
If someone was killed as a result of wanton vandalism, how would you live with yourself?

That'd be fantastic, straight through the insulated high power cable running up the support - please do it - PLEASE.
kennethkilla (June 1, 2008 at 12:15 pm)
that isnt true. It may cost you all in the short term, but would the permament removal of speed cameras be a good price to pay for the gatso rebellion?
lollygaggle (June 1, 2008 at 3:33 pm)
What isn't true exactly? May cost you all? There is no 'may' about it - the motorist foots the bill. All the money spent ultimately comes out of the pockets of drivers on the roads, no-one else's. The idiots who burn the cameras just force every other motorist deeper into the mire.
Gatso rebellion? Okay, off you go then lovey, wake me up when you're done.
