Lets not forget also that although the Hon. Mr. Garvey was a visionary and a accurate and eloquent voice on the condition of the African in his time, He also was able to accurately and effectively outline what needed to be done. We still have not implemented his programme fully but what we have done has worked. Ask Brother Malcolm or Brother Martin where their inspiration comes from. Conclusion read the whole story before you try to tell it to someone else.

Sadly this momentous meeting did not materials because of the untimely death of the Hon. Mr. Washington. In my view all the work that the Hon. Mr. Garvey managed to accomplish in America was done on the shoulders of the wise ancestors that went before Him. In fact the teaching of both men were united simply because of the respect that the Hon. Mr. Garvey had for the Hon. Mr. Washington.

History tells us that the Honourable Marcus J Garvey travelled to America because of the teaching of the Honourable Booker T Washington. The Hon. Mr. Garvey hoped to converse with the Hon. Mr. Washington and join forces in the fight for liberation of the African soul and spirit.

I believe that Marcus Garvey came to Black America to take us of track in what we were already doing and it worked. African Americans had blk owned Banks, Our own lands, blk owned Business, before Marcus Garvey was even born in Jamaica. We had our own schools all that. So to big up Marcus Garvey and not The Honorable Booker T Washington. Is disrespectful to our own AfricanAmerican History. READ READ YOU MIGHTY RACE

Everybody forgot about The Honorable Booker T Washington who Marcus Garvey got his knowledge from. Jamaicans dont acknowledge The Honorable Booker T Washington. They erased him and callin Marcus Garvey The Lion of Liberation this is a lie

We need Real education. We need to study our history critically, for herein lies the understanding of our problems and solutions for the future. It demands a total commitment to Afrika (spiritually and physically). We need to study people like Garvey, Malcolm X, Nkrumah and also the crucial works of Drs. Cheikh Anta Diop, Clarke, Ben, Amos Wilson, Chancellor Williams, van Sertima, ...We seem to have forgotten when we were in charge of the state and the methods we used.

What a joke: "Afrika cannot survive without those in the Diaspora". There much about Afrika we need to learn about. Talk about resources: e. g. Afrika has the biggest land space along the equator. Do you know what that means agriculturally? Blacks in USA need to get themselves more involved in official matters between the USA and Afrikan countries. The main policy of the USA wrt Africa is: Disrupt all communication between Blacks in the USA and Afrikans at home.

yea but africa cant rely on selling the natural resources forever. the natural resources should actually be the last thing we sell because our gifts, talents, & skills make enough money by themselves. we can sell what our abilities produce then sell the natural resources afterwards. & its not the U.S. keeping africa from african-americans its african-americans not being interested in africa in the 1st place. not interested in independence because our parents werent educated enough themselves.
