The Late Late Show 2005 - Marcus Garvey

Marcus Garvey words come to pass
can't get no food to eat
can't get no money to spend

come little one let me do what i can
for you and you and you alone
come little one come
let me do what i can
for you and you alone

know the right and do he not
shall be spanked with many stripes
weeping and wailing and mourning
you've got yourself to blame
i tell you
do right, do right, do right...
tell you to do right
beg you to do right

where is Bagawire
he's nowhere around
he can't be found
first betrayer who gave away Marcus Garvey
son of Satan, first prophecy
hold'em Marcus hol'em
prophecy fulfilled
catch them Marcus catch them

I like this! The backup female singer in green has better moves than Ms. O'Connor, however.

Great tune this, good by Ms O'Connor - great by Burning Spear! Lets hope the Reggae album she has done bring Jamaican music to lots more ears, well done Sinead

Sinead O'Connor is always challenging our musical ears. She continues to grow and expand her creativity. She has assembled some of the finest Jamaican musicians. There is no fluff here. The woman is singing roots music. This a Burning Spear classic. This was the first song I was introduced to the Spear. Sinead has probably lost millions because of her politics and her numerous musical directions. She is a unique artist, in this money driven entertainment environment.
