Isn't it one of those capos where you select witch strings it was holding? I remember seeing one in one of his videos on his youtube account. It looks more like he's turning something instead of moving it.

No, it was on the fret and he was trying to move it off of the fret a little bit so he was like moving it little by little whenever he had a free second, understand?

Unfortunately, that is not actually a partial capo, that is a Third Hand capo.

It clamps the strings down INDIVIDUALLY, so he just changes it around during the song. He'll flip 1 of the clamps so it'll stop clamping on, let's say, the 5th string, and vice versa. It's quite an interesting thing actually.
