fuck you electric motors will never win against a gas engine and plus we would have to recharge our lawn mowers every half hour and that can take up to 15 hours!!!

how about we unite as a country and stop using gas to power our vehicles

When prices rise, they jump.

wtf? she has an american accent but measures things in Liters and kilometers. ?!?!
Kurac80 (November 1, 2008 at 5:12 pm)
Yes, some people, smart ones, realize that measuring units such as liters, meters and centimeters are most common and very popular all over the world. Feet, yards and miles and pounds...give me a break...what you just want to be different
gobberpooper (November 1, 2008 at 8:05 pm)
yeah i absolutely hate our system. I can never get the conversions together.
The problem was that when the US was founded, we used the British system because that's what we were used to. But then Britain changed their system to SI. So now we're using the British system which sucks ass. And now we can't change it because changing every label and especially road signs would costs billions and billions of dollars.

liters and kilometers are part of metric system. Only america uses gallons and mile for units.
gobberpooper (November 8, 2008 at 5:29 am)
yes i know! i live in the friggin country! and no, it's not to be different! i said that the british used it and since america was a british colony, we used the british system of pounds and miles. but then britain used the metric system. by this point it's too expensive to change

She's Canadian, as the PetroCanada tanker might suggest. She could probably have done the entire presentation in French too.
