Special Feature: Real Boeing 747 Flight Simulator

READ ME FIRST: Upon attending a fund raiser for a school, I won the bid for an hour in a professional flight simulator. The joke here is that the people that go to this facility are ALL professional pilots who are getting cross-trained on different planes or re-certified. And here I am, basically walking in 'off the street', and sitting at the control console of a Boeing 747.

It was an absolute incredible experience. I really have a lot of respect for commercial airline pilots, since there are many activities going on in the cockpit at the same time!

I'm glad I brought the video camera, so I can share a few minutes of this exciting adventure with you all.

What was that? Amer. Airlines flight 587 that was BELOW Va and decided to fly into a 747's wake turbulence and the engines separated from the wing, AND the vertical (not horiz. sorry) separated along with the rudder from the tail section and ended up in the Jamacian Bay... No wonder why everyone believes in the saying "if its not boeing, im not going."

Good video you are a lucky man! Shame the 737 and 747 are old models without the glass cockpits. I use PMDG's 747-400 in FSX and love it.

its like having the crash settings to the max

or more

an it takes alot of strength to drive 747's because the wheel neeeds to have enough pressure pushed on it in order to move

so if ur in a dive in a 747 an u gotta pull up its going to be like impossible because of the pressure u need

fsx is fun tho its closest ull get i guess if ya put the realism settings to the max...
