Of course, this wouldn't be a TheAnimationEmpire video without nonsense and nostalgia. Look for references to Loony Tunes, Indiana Jones, Charlie's Angels, Spiderman, SW Ep. 2, Mortal Kombat, Super Mario Kart, The Simpsons, Yoshi, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jurassic Park, Kung Pow, The Matrix, Super Mario Brothers (Bros.) and, of course, a lot of secret agent themes. Our preview for Episode 2 even references Batman, Toy Story, and several more SW themes.

Our work has been compared to Shrek, Disney, and Pixar films (Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Cars, etc.). We can tell the difference because we don't have their 80 million dollar budget. =^)

Which fire effects?

Yeah, we know that we had to work on the kid's face. His hair and skin texture add to the problem.

Thanks!

Pretty much. The movie references and zoom gags weren't interesting to you? Check out the sequel. I hear that the humor and action are better in that one.

(Humor itself is entirely subjective, and we were purposefully aiming at a young crowd and their parents, so I understand why most of this doesn't hit very hard.)

Thanks!

Because sometimes good character designs with limited hair effects, texturing, and modeling abilities to turn the 2D design into 3D... don't end up as good 3D models.

Toy Story 1 is another good example. People are still saying the same thing about the humans in most Pixar films even today.

Thanks!
